Meals

- One full week - arrive Sun pm for dinner, leave Sat am after breakfast = $270
- Present for weekend between courses - Sat lunch & tea, Sun breakfast & lunch = $55
Each booking is for arriving for tea on Sunday evening and leaving after breakfast on Saturday.
The venue caters for vegetarian, dairy- and gluten-free diets. You are welcome to BYO for all meals but the venue expects to have the same number of people eating for each meal. If you would like morning/ afternoon tea, please BYO (I have found their main meals to be quite generous).
If arriving earlier than Sunday afternoon/leaving later than Saturday breakfast: There is the option to add a set of weekend meals at either end of your course if that suits your plans/flights. If there isn't room on-site for additional nights' accommodation, there is likely to be room at the nearby motel. Please make individual arrangements with me once you have booked your flights.
If participating in two sequential courses: You may choose to stay for the weekend - adding Saturday lunch/tea and Sunday breakfast/lunch plus accommodation on the Saturday night. Machines/equipment may be left set up over the weekend; you may access these to sew all weekend if you wish.
Sample prices for accommodation and meals:
- Doing one week, staying backpacker and bringing in all own meals = $144 accom
- Doing one week, staying twin-share with three others = $330 accom + $270 meals = $600
- Doing two weeks, taking a single room of a motel unit, and staying on site all weekend to sew your heart out = $540 + 90 + 540 accom + $270 + 55 + 270 meals = $1765
Discount for joining multiple workshops
We need to exceed 14 participants per course. Anyone taking a second workshop will be charged in the region of $1,100 for the second week, and anyone taking three workshops will be charged in the region of $1,000 for the third week. As last minute withdrawals will affect these course costs, the final discount will be calculated and given to participants in January 2013. Accommodation and meal costs are independent of the number of participants.
Payments and withdrawals
A deposit payment of $500 is required by the end of October 2011 with an additional $500 to be paid by the end of Febuary 2012. We have already received a large amount of interest, so reservations will be made on the basis of 'first paid, first booked'. There are maximum numbers of 18 students for each week. There are currently still places available in each class. If you have any concerns, please contact me by email.
- Students require a full course cost payment to have a place held for them.
- Payments are by deposit to the course account. Details are sent on registration of interest.
- Any students withdrawing prior to 1 August 2012 will be refunded at least 90% of any monies paid.
- Students withdrawing after 1 August 2012 will be refunded accommodation and meal costs. They will not be eligible for a refund for course costs unless their place is filled, then a 90% refund will occur.
- Students doing short times, i.e. two weeks or less, will need to book early with me as only a limited number of places per week are being held for this.
